City of Pensacola is home to a bustling metropolitan community which is rich in cultural history. Native American peoples inhabited the Pensacola area thousands of years before the arrival of Spanish explorers in 1559. Milton is the county seat of Santa Rosa County. The history of Milton goes back to the early 1800’s when people began settling along the banks of the river. The primary industry in early days was logging, and this was a mill town. Milton is the shortened version of mill town.The many waterways called by the names of Coldwater, Blackwater, and Sweetwater flow through the town, drawing paddlers, rafters and tubers, as well as campers.
Pace is the western gateway to Santa Rosa County, Florida. This unincorporated area within Santa Rosa County is Florida’s most desired places to live. The name of Pace was given in 1907 when James C.
